TripAdvisor, the largest travel platform in the world, released its lists of the best beaches on the planet for 2017, based on the results of the Travellers' Choice awards.
According to those results, Elafonisi was ranked in the 9th position of the best beaches in the world, and owns the 2nd position in Europe for 2017. In the same ranking tables, Balos was ranked 7th among the best European beaches.
It is worthwhile to point that it is a great honour for our island, Crete, to be awarded for its beauty, and it is even more important, when those awards come from the people.
