A 72-year-old German tourist lived an adventure in Glyka Nera in Sfakia.
His hike on the path from Glyka Nera to Agia Roumeli was interrupted by an unexpected accident.
At a steep point and under unclear conditions he slipped and fell into rocks to injure his leg and head.
EKAB (First Aid) and the Fire Department were immediately informed.
A firefighting vehicle with four men arrived at the spot, found the tourist and a boat, offered by a private person, was taken to the nearest beach, where the rescuers of EKAB (First Aid) received it.
Firstly, he was transferred to the Sfakia Regional Clinic. However, doctors considered that it is necessary for this patient to be transferred to the General Hospital of Chania.
